The UK has always seemed to have something of a pull for the band, with My Chemical Romance even announcing their magnum opus The Black Parade during a one-off show in London’s Hammersmith Palais in 2006.

When Big Ben's Elizabeth Tower was briefly seen in the witchy mist in MCR's ‘An Offering…’ video, which announced the band’s Milton Keynes 2020 show, fans were quick to speculate that the glimpse of the iconic London landmark meant something more exciting was on the horizon.

After all, My Chemical Romance didn’t create new promotional videos for every country they are planning to tour. The fact that they specifically highlighted their UK date suggests that this was intended to be a special kind of concert. Was their Milton Keynes date supposed to be an album announcement show? Were the band supposed to premier some brand-new material on that day?

Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll need to wait for 2022 to find out for sure, but the video certainly seems to suggest something more than a string of shows is on its way. Either way, the Milton Keynes concerts are sure to be biblical: after tickets sold out in minutes, two extra Stadium MK dates were promptly added to the tour.
