10 Clues My Chemical Romance Are Gearing Up To Release A New Album

4. They've Done Too Much To Just Promote A Tour

My Chemical Romance has always had a flair for the dramatic, but it seems a bit far-fetched to think that the band would release new instrumental music, a new logo and a whole new world of imagery and costumes just to advertise a tour.

Of course, this isn’t impossible. After all, many fans thought that the new logo revealed for 'MCRX' (the band’s ten-year anniversary re-release of The Black Parade, complete with a host of never-before-heard demos) would spell new music, but given the speed at which the band’s promotional tour videos were dropped before Covid-19 shook the world, it seems that MCR was gearing up for a much bigger announcement.

It doesn’t make sense for the band to perform old songs from different eras in the new costumes teased in the ‘An Offering…’ and ‘A summoning...’ videos, indicating these already-iconic hooded cloaks and skeletal masks were designed with new music in mind.

In fact, the cloaks bear similar crosses to those seen in the MCRX logo, suggesting a fulfilment of a long-awaited promise, years after the disappointing announcement that MCRX was just a Black Parade re-release. Entire Reddit threads have been dedicated to decoding the wealth of new symbols the band has since revealed, with many fans concluding that there can be no doubt a new record is on its way.

While MCR has used new symbols to release old material in the past, not since Danger Days have they crafted such a distinct aesthetic, providing near-proof that we'll be getting a whole new era soon.
