10 Clues My Chemical Romance Are Gearing Up To Release A New Album

3. The Draculoids Are Dead

In the music video for ‘Na Na Na’, the lead single from Danger Days, we see the previous album’s titular Black Parade band rotting in the desert sand, symbolically indicating the dawn of a brand-new era.

At the end of ‘A summoning...’, a mega thirteen-minute short film created to advertise My Chemical Romance’s reunion tour, the camera pans to reveal the Draculoids, Danger Days' antagonists, dead in the sand next to the Black Parade, their costumes torn to shreds.

As My Chemical Romance used the same trick to symbolise a new era in the past, this throwaway nod to the 'Na Na Na' video seems to serve a larger purpose than just being another meta-reference to the band's celebrated career.

'A summoning...' follows a protagonist who runs between rooms that represent each of the band's different eras, until he finally ends up in a large empty concert venue resplendent with rousing gothic instrumental music. An intense piano-driven rendition of the "Ase ase age ah" reprise from 'An Offering...' is layered over upcoming tour dates, propelling towards a climax before the film reverts to the Californian desert in a sort of Marvel-inspired post-credits scene, hinting to an imminent announcement.

The Danger Days era is well and truly over, and something truly dark is on the horizon...
