10 Controversial Reasons Nickelback Are Actually Awesome
9. They Have A Great Work Ethic
They may be one of the biggest bands in the world right now but they certainly didn't get there overnight. After forming in 1995 Nickelback hit the ground running for years before they ever saw any real resemblance of mainstream media attention. They didn't get lazy like most bands do, they built their empire brick by brick by traveling anywhere they could to play a show, setting up their own radio promotion and taking care of their own distribution among many other things. Being in a band is hard work and even if you make it to the top, staying there is a whole other challenge in its own right but Nickelback have been on top for almost a decade and a half because they've worked to stay there. Nickelback rarely takes a good amount of downtime between albums, they're constantly touring and even when the band isn't active as a unit, Chad Kroeger often works writing many of the rock hits you hear on the radio today. Nickelback may have it all at this point but they got it because they earned it.
I am a writer/musician and hopeless entertainment addict. I could talk your ear off all day about my vast (albeit completely useless) knowledge of pro-wrestling and then argue with you how the characters in LOST were more important than the plot itself.
