3. They're Trying To Make A Difference
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76RbWuFll0Y For every album full of party songs Nickelback puts out they also manage to throw quite a few songs in there that show great compassion for the human race. Sure most people assume that Nickelback is made up of a bunch of rich, pompous jerks that wipe their butts with $100 dollar bills but that's not the case. The truth is that Nickelback is a socially conscious band with a heart of gold. I'm not going to point fingers here but you don't see a lot of mainstream pop or rock artists singing about socially conscious issues such as wars overseas, drug abuse or teen abortion. Nickelback faces these issues head on and tries to deliver a sense of hope in songs such as "When We Stand Together" and "If Today Was Your Last Day." The best part about it is Nickelback does more than talk about social issues, they take action. They've donated to charities such as the BC Childrens Hosipital, United Way Education and over $500,000 to an African charity called the Obakki Foundation. Still not enough for you? How about the fact that they donated 100% of the sales from their single "If Everyone Cared" to charity. There's more to Nickelback than meets the eye and although most people don't see that side, it doesn't stop them from trying to make a positive difference in people's lives.

I could talk your ear off all day about my vast (albeit completely useless) knowledge of pro-wrestling and then argue with you how the characters in LOST were more important than the plot itself.
