10 Covers Versions Of Charles Manson Songs

2. Your Home Is Where You're Happy – Lemonheads

Evan Dando, the lead singer of the power pop band the Lemonheads, is an example of someone who had a fascination with the music of Charles Manson. On the band's 1988 sophomore album The Creator, they covered two tunes from Lie: The Love and Terror Cult, "Home Is Where Your Happy" (recorded as "Your Home Is Where You're Happy") and Dando incorporated some of the lyrics and melody of "Big Iron Door" into "Clang Bang Clang" (which they also recorded as "Left for Dead" for their 1990 album, Lovey).

There is something perverse with enjoying a catchy power pop song when you know it was composed by an evil psychopath. It raises the question, is it possible to separate the art from the artist?
