10 Criminally Overlooked Metallica Tracks You Need To Listen To Again

2. Motorbreath (Kill €˜Em All, 1983)

http://youtu.be/TWKJmbmOOf4 Although played live often, Motorbreath is not afforded the full credit it deserves by generally being stuck inside a medley of tracks from their first two albums. Metallica€™s musical origins lie in the harsh sounds of American hardcore punk and NWOBHM. This track is one of the most concise artefacts of such philosophies. €œThose people who tell you not to take chances/They are all missing on what life€™s about€ intones Hetfield, praising the lifestyle of forebears and heroes such as Lemmy and the rest of Motorhead. To paraphrase a lyric from the song itself: €œOnce you have heard it you€™ll never be the same.€
