10 Criminally Underrated Linkin Park Songs
2. Mark The Graves – The Hunting Party (2014)
This is another album-only track from the band’s sixth record, and just like ‘All For Nothing’, it doesn’t receive enough credit.
With its five-minute runtime, ‘Mark The Graves’ is one of the longer tunes from Linkin Park. The band keep the track interesting, however, thanks to the level of variety. It kicks off with crunching guitar chords but soon transitions into a softer section with a soothing vocal delivery at the forefront.
Whilst the chorus isn’t particularly striking, Bennington’s screams light up the track during the climax. And the instrumental sections are also terrific. Once again, Delson demonstrates his prowess with a sweet guitar solo and Bourdon’s drums are great as well.
It’s an unusual song, and like many of the other tracks on The Hunting Party, the production is more rugged when compared to the rest of the band’s material. But this certainly doesn’t detract from the quality of the song.
