7. Judas Priest, "The Hellion/Electric Eye" - Screaming For Vengeance
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04MmA-nCfQs The legendary Judas Priest is rightfully credited as helping to invent the metal genre in the '70's alongside fellow Brits Black Sabbath. 1982's Screaming For Vengeance was their breakthrough album and featured several classic tunes including the title track and hit You've Got Another Thing Comin'. Additionally, frontman Rob Halford is credited with having created the black leather n' studs look that has been associated with metal ever since; a slightly amusing fact considering its origins in gay culture and metal's penchant for machismo. This pair of tracks opened the Screaming For Vengeance album as well as countless Priest shows from '82 to the present day. Featuring the dual-guitar attack of Glen Tipton and KK Downing, the album is heavy, high energy and memorably melodic; an excellent introduction to one of the greatest metal bands ever and the genre itself.
