6. Ozzy Osbourne, "Waiting For Darkness" - Bark At The Moon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EphOnCx8Gw In 1980 Black Sabbath's former vocalist Ozzy Osbourne formed the Blizzard of Ozz which is more well known as the title of his first post Sabbath album. Ozzy had become disilusioned with the metal progenitors and embarked on a solo career that found him releasing the classic album Bark At The Moon in 1983. While the album's title track is certainly the best known from the disc, the hidden gem was Waiting for Darkness. Waiting for Darkness is the album's final track, and in our attempt to create interest in metal from the otherwise disinterested, we've thus far chosen songs that have stand-out features instrumentally and melodically. This tune is strong on both accounts with a terrific staccato main guitar riff that is highly memorable as well as a singalong chorus; one of Ozzy's finest moments on record in our humble opinion and certainly a powerful track in our quest to turn those disinterested ears our way.
