10 Essential Rock Albums Of The 2010s

8. Jeff Rosenstock - WORRY

Jeff Rosenstock has been on the go for a while, since 1995 in fact. His solo career didn't kick off till 2012 however, and he didn't release a perfect album until four years later when he dropped this gem on us.

Aptly named too On WORRY Rosenstock somehow manages to simultaneously encapsulate all the anxieties of a whole generation at once, not unlike James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. WORRY illustrates the concerns of himself and his fellow millenials. That feeling of having nothing on offer from the previous generation, expected to fend for yourself despite lacking options or hope.

Rosenstock also croons and laments the concerns we all have that our best days are behind us - or maybe, god forbid, those best days never even had the chance to exist in the first place. On top of all this he even finds time to express anxieties that don't exist yet as he worries just what the hell will be left for the next generation if this is how bad things are right now.
