10 Famous Musicians Who Literally Did The Same Thing Every Time
7. Jack White Never Leaves The Garage - The White Stripes
At the start of the new millennium, the rock world really needed a band like the White Stripes to come along. With nu metal getting too dark for its own good and grunge long since falling by the wayside, Jack and Meg White sprouted from Detroit and helped all of us get over ourselves.
Armed with just a drum, a guitar, and a few effects, the band had just the right amount of chutzpah to make the old sounds of hard rock sound new and exciting again. Even after coming off of massive hits like "Fell in Love With a Girl," the band stuck to their guns when it came to their more organic approach to songwriting.
Whenever you sat down with a White Stripes record, what you are going to get is always going to be an abrasive assault of punk and rock while having one foot trailing back into the blues. After the band's dissolution in the late 2000's, Jack White has continued to expand upon his sound further with his solo work as well as with the Raconteurs. It may be fed through a more contemporary lens nowadays, but the White Stripes's throwback style hits just as hard today as it did when it was released in the early 2000's.
