10 Great Hard Rock Songs Under 2 Minutes Long

6. Debris Slide - Pavement

Even if you own the five excellent studio albums Pavement put out in the 1990s, you won't be able to hear the song Debris Slide.

Unless you go on the Internet, but that's just cheating.

All 117 seconds of Debris Slide can be found either on the band's 1991 EP Perfect Sound Forever or the 1993 compilation album Westing (By Musket and Sextant).

Don't worry, everyone else is confused by that name as well.

Though it's a bit of a pain to track this song down, you'll be glad you did, because it is just under two minutes of pure 90s alt rock bliss. It kicks in with an absolutely humungous chord, building to a groovy melody that you won't be able to resist bobbing along to.

Steven Malkmus' vocals barely pierce the cacophony of noise, as more and more strange sounds join the fray. The band cram so much into such a short runtime, making for a highly memorable and pleasant listening experience.

Ok, maybe it's not "pleasant" in the traditional sense. Your grandma would absolutely hate this, but she's an idiot anyway, so who cares what she thinks?
