10 Great Hard Rock Songs Under 2 Minutes Long
7. United States Of Whatever - Liam Lynch
Back to comedy now and a guy who has very strong links to Messrs Black and Gass.
Liam Lynch not only directed the music video for Tenacious D's Tribute, but he was also behind the camera for the aforementioned Pick of Destiny movie.
Uh oh, maybe we shouldn't have slagged it off.
Lynch has also directed videos for the likes of Royal Blood, Queens of the Stone Age, and even Weird Al Yankovic. He was also a songwriter on the film School of Rock and, for that, we all owe him our thanks.
In between his very busy filming schedule, Lynch also found time to record and release his own music. His most famous track has to be 2002's United States of Whatever, one of the most bizarre rock songs ever released.
The song, which comes in at just 1:26, is Lynch playing a distorted bass guitar whilst recounting various interactions he's had with people. Whether it's girls at the beach, police officers in an alley, or random strangers at three in the morning, Lynch's response is always the same - "Whatever!"
Except for when it's Zafo.
Zafo's cool.
