10 Great Hard Rock Songs You Won't Find On Spotify

7. Do Anything You Wanna Do - Michael Monroe

If you're a fan of Finnish glam rock music - and who isn't? - then you've no doubt heard of Hanoi Rocks.

Starting out in 1979, this band helped establish the hair metal genre and acted as a major influence for the likes of Guns N' Roses and Poison. They also helped boost hairspray sales in the US by 50,000% (citation needed).

The lead singer of Hanoi Rocks was Matti "Makke" Fagerholm, better known by the less interesting stage name of Michael Monroe.

Despite sounding like an office worker, Monroe led the group to major success both at home and abroad before they split up in 1985. They reformed in 2002 to end again in 2009, leaving Michael with plenty of time to focus on his solo work.

One such release was 2003's Whatcha Want, which contains Monroe's spin on the Eddie and the Hot Rods track Do Anything You Wanna Do. He gives it an injection of energy and brings it up to speed for a modern audience.

The rest of the album is really fun too, which just makes it even more of a shame that you'll have to turn to YouTube to hear it.
