10 Great Hard Rock Songs You Won't Find On Spotify
3. Dreams In The Dark - Badlands
We're finishing off this list with what we like to call The Sabbath Trilogy.
Three songs, all of which are linked to Black Sabbath in one way or another.
The New Hope of our story is the track Dreams in the Dark by Badlands. This band was formed when Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist Jake E. Lee was fired by SHARRRONNNN and went about seeking a frontman for a new project.
He eventually landed on singer Ray Gillen, who had worked very briefly with Sabbath in the mid-80s. Although, to be fair, most people alive have been in Black Sabbath at one point or another.
Alongside another Sabbath castoff, the drummer Eric Singer, Lee formed Badlands and put out the song Dreams in the Dark in 1989. The song picked up airplay on both the radio and the music video circuit, but this wasn't enough to get it a release on Spotify.
In fact, only the band's 2013 release Dusk can be found there, which means a large portion of their discography is lost to the ether of the Internet.
You could also say that it's lost in the... badlands... sorry.
