10 Great Things In Metal This Week (4th Dec)

Believe it or not, metal and classical music may have more in common than you think. Both are operatic, grandiose and bombastic, as well as able to portray an entire gamut of emotions with relative ease.

Such a link between two vastly different styles surfaced this week, as YouTuber Raphael Weinroth-Browne covered the pulse-pounding Lamb of God cut "Walk with Me in Hell", from their 2007 Sacrament album, on cello.

Emotive, over-the-top and technically impressive, the video (embedded above) just has to be seen and heard to be believed, skilfully transforming a ceaselessly exciting rock n' roll banger into an impressive classical piece.
