7. Moneytalks
This is one of only 2 songs from The Razors Edge (1990) and that upset me a bit, with that being my favorite AC/DC album. However, Moneytalks. I'll take this time to tell you something that amused me when I read it. during live performances of the song in the 90s, there would be thousands of notes dropped on the crowd known as 'Angus bucks', pictures above. When the band was performing in Russia in 1991 when the notes were dropped onto the crowd, the Russian Ruble was going through extreme inflation, and for a very limited time, an Angus Buck was worth more than the actual currency in Russia. Makes ya think. That aside, the song itself, another favorite of mine, is exactly what you'd expect a song about money by AC/DC to sound like. The initial guitar riff has a lightness to it that adds something to the entire sound of the song. As a guitarist the solo really stands out to me from this song. As a lover of Angus Young's playing style, the verse's of this song also stand out to me. They just sound great, and are so much fun to play. As a fan of both this song and AC/DC, I would love to see them play it live if they ever hit the road again, and I'm sure many would agree with me.
