10 Greatest Diss Tracks In Rock Music History

8. I'll Stick Around - Foo Fighters

As the years have gone on, Dave Grohl has looked more and more like the cool uncle of rock and roll. Seriously, the generosity that this man has and the wholesome image that he gives off is enough to put Tom Hanks to shame on some days. Granted, you'd have to do something a little more to get on his bad side, and he definitely found that anger on the first Foo Fighters record.

Though most of the songs on the band's debut were just a bunch of tunes Dave had laying around for the better part of a year, the message behind I'll Stick Around is a lot more straightforward than something like Big Me. Given that he wrote this around the time that Nirvana was getting big, a lot of fans have suspected that this song was a direct reference to Courtney Love, implying that the "rehearsed insanity" was her playing up for the camera.

And it doesn't seem like Dave is discounting that theory either, saying that the anger behind that song is as clear as day. They did at least start to patch things up though, with Grohl embracing Love when Nirvana was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Whenever he got up on stage back in the day though, this probably was the only way that he wanted to vent his frustration.
