10 Greatest Diss Tracks In Rock Music History

5. Wah Wah - George Harrison

No one can really blame the Beatles for their humungous fallout at the end of the '60s. I mean, if you were forced to spend the better part of a decade with the same creative partners over and over again, there comes a point when you need a break. When the Fabs went their separate ways though, The Quiet Beatle found one clear target with Paul McCartney.

Midway through the sessions for what would become Let It Be, George Harrison left the studio and said that he would not be returning because his ideas weren't being taken seriously. Needing to blow off steam, Harrison left the session that day and wrote Wah Wah by himself at home. And it should come as no surprise to know that this is not actually about the famous guitar effect.

After having to play second fiddle to the Lennon-McCartney songwriting machine, this entire song is Harrison being salty about being pushed around by Paul McCartney, who he thought was becoming a bit of a dictator during the sessions. Though Harrison was eventually convinced to rejoin the group after a few days, the riff he created was to good to let go, as it turned into one of the standout tracks on his album All Things Must Pass. Whereas the Beatles were originally about peace and love, this is the moment where those grudges started to hit a boiling point.
