A giant behind the kit, John Bonham rose to prominence even when surrounded by a talismanic guitarist and the greatest front man in rock (sorry JPJ, but at least you still got a mention). His distinctive sound provided Zeppelin€™s heart and soul and helped propel the band to God like status among a crop of outstanding, pioneering bands of the 70's. His immense bass drum sound remains astounding, achieved with one foot incidentally and puts today€™s two footed players to shame. Imbued with colossal groove and power, Bonham is quite rightly revered as the greatest drummer of all time and who am I to argue? Mr Bonham, we salute you. Like this article? Who have we missed? I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things.
