10. Good Charlotte Predictable
Predictable is a notable song by Good Charlotte for multiple reasons. For a start, the vast majority of the band's songs are very much on the pop side of rock or punk, attempting to come across as angst-filled or aggressive lyrically but never really moving there musically. In the case of Predictable, however, the band edges towards what it might have sounded like had it committed to some heavier instrumentation and experimented more with vocal delivery. Released from the band's third studio album, 2004's The Chronicles Of Life And Death, Predictable combined Good Charlotte's catchy song-writing with slightly harder instrumentation and elements of scream-based vocals. Coupled with a creepy Tim Burton / German Expressionism inspired music video, the song is easily one of the band's more interesting tracks, and a worthy example of the emo genre. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js8pCCxcVuc
