Who doesn't remember listening to this song on repeat back in 2005 and the years that followed? Sugar, We're Goin Down was released as a single from Fall Out Boy's second studio album From Under The Cork Tree. It wasn't until this album that the band really broke into the mainstream with hit singles Sugar, We're Goin Down, Dance, Dance and A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me. In fact, since its release the album has sold several million copies. And what's a great emo song without a great music video to accompany it? The video is so baffling it's instantly memorable, featuring a social outcast who is picked on for having antlers sprouting from his head. The boy falls for a girl and attempts to violently remove his antlers, but he's stopped by the girl in question. Not long after, the girl's father attempts to shoot the boy with an arrow but is hit by a car, revealing that he's got hooves, causing the two to reconcile their differences. It's so absurd as to be charming, and is inextricably linked with track. I challenge anyone to listen to this song and not find themselves singing along by the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhG-vLZrb-g
