10 Greatest Feel Good Rock Songs

1. Here Comes The Sun - The Beatles

The Beatles have made an entire career specializing in feel good songs. While the band's material at the beginning of their career catered to the standard puppy love songs of the day, each new creative venture gave them more material to dissect the concept of love, life, and beyond. Though John Lennon and Paul McCartney may seem like the geniuses of the group, George Harrison gave us the purest expression of euphoria on "Here Comes The Sun."

For as delightful as this track is, its origins actually lie in annoyance, with the band at each others' throats due to business concerns. As their record label was falling apart, Harrison visited his friend Eric Clapton and ended up giving birth to this tune, which brought a bit of levity to the band's final album Abbey Road.

Spawning from a simple acoustic guitar riff, this entire song feels like a bolt of sunlight coming into view and touching your face. As it takes several twists and turns, every single piece of the puzzle builds to one of the most pleasing rock songs in the past 50 years. Even when times seem to be cold and fractured, "Here Comes The Sun" has enough sonic power to blow away any kind of worldly depression that you may come across.
