10 Greatest Feel Good Rock Songs

2. We Are the Champions - Queen

Queen practically have an entire back catalog to pull from when it comes to feel good tunes. Though the band's masterpiece "Bohemian Rhapsody" works better as a musical experience than an actual pop track, songs like "You're My Best Friend" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" are pretty much guaranteed to put a smile on your face. You can't really miss with a Queen song, but when it comes to feeling good, it doesn't get much better than "We Are the Champions."

Written as an exercise in crowd participation, Freddie Mercury wanted to write a song that the audience would be able to feel involved with, using "we" instead of "I" in the lyrical structure. From the day it was released, it quickly became one of the band's most beloved songs, with fans chanting along every time they played it live.

However, that kind of crowd participation took on a new life once the band performed the song at Live-Aid, as they took over Wembley Stadium with one of the most awe-inspiring performances in rock history. Also, if you listen to this song without the elemental "We Will Rock You" beforehand, you're doing it wrong. More than just a simple song of victory, "We Are the Champions" is one of those songs that feels less like beating your enemy and more like a shot of life for the entire human race.
