10 Greatest Hard Rock Anthems Ever

4. Teenagers - My Chemical Romance

Can we all agree that emo got a bad rap back in the day? Yes, there were plenty of scene bands looking to just profit off the angst of young teenagers, but the authentic bands had plenty of classics under their belt to warrant them a spot with the big boys of rock and roll. It may have been easy to manipulate some teenagers, but My Chemical Romance showed you that the younger demographic was meant to be feared as much as they were respected.

Straying away from the initial concept of The Black Parade, this song feels like the anti-emo equation, with a song construction that sounds like if Lynyrd Skynyrd had been told to write a goth song. My Chem had been known for more epic songs reminiscent of classic rock and roll, but when compared to the more extravagant production of the rest of the record, this song's chorus could very well be considered bulletproof.

It may have been thought of as a scene phase for many, but there's a whole generation of kids who can sing every single word of this song from the minute Gerard Way talks about cleaning up your looks. Teenagers may be a simple generation, but the devillish stripes can come out in spades if you dare to cross them.
