10 Greatest Rock Music Cover Songs Of The 2010s

9. Rolling In The Deep - Go Radio

Beginning in 2002, the Punk Goes Pop series of albums has a very simple premise. Take popular rock and metal bands, assign them a current pop song to cover, and then print the money.

The fourth edition of the franchise, which was released in 2011, features contributions from Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens, and Tonight Alive, all of whom do a great job with songs from Bruno Mars, Cee Lo Green, and Mumford & Sons respectively. However, for the pick of this particular litter, one must turn to Adele.

American rock band Go Radio were given the task of covering the British star’s song Rolling in the Deep and they did a fantastic job. Basically, they turned everything on it up to 11, making it bigger, louder, angrier, and, in many ways, better.

This version is the epitome of the whole Punk Goes Pop ethos, taking a popular song and seeing what it would look like in the hands of a rock band. Go Radio didn't do anything massively clever here, but what they did do is very simple and highly effective.
