10 Hard Rock Bands That Should Be In The Hall Of Fame (But Aren't)

9. Dead Kennedys

If you couldn't tell from their name, US punk outfit Dead Kennedys love a bit of politics in their lyrics.

Known for taking swipes at public figures and current affairs, the band rose to success in 1980s through their controversial content and anti-authoritarian attitudes.

When your band gets taken to court over proposed obscenity, then you know you're doing the whole punk thing correctly.

Although they haven't released any new music since 1986, the band still have a strong following and are considered by many to be one of the most important groups in the history of punk.

With bands like Sex Pistols, Ramones, and The Stooges already in the Hall, it's about damn time that Jello Biafra and his hellraising companions are also invited to join the club.

Even without their impressive catalogue of hard-hitting songs, the ideals embodied by the band are everything that the Hall of Fame stands for and the band have inspired so many great people that it would be a real shame for them not to get some recognition.

Although, they would have to censor a lot of their song titles - the Hall is meant to be family-friendly.
