10 Hard Rock Bands Who FIRED Important Members
8. Queens of the Stone Age - Nick Oliveri
If all that you have to deal with is some moody bandmates during your career, you'd still be doing a damn good job.
Since the worst bands tend to fall out over everything from business to managers trying to screw them over, having the occasional fight over creative differences is almost tame. And then you have Queens of the Stone Age actually having to get the police involved.
That's not selling short what Nick Oliveri did either. As the tour for Songs for the Deaf was wrapping up, things were already starting to go a little haywire with Oliveri's antics, but that was nothing compared to what was happening back home.
Once getting off the road, fans were shocked to learn of the different abusive tendencies that Oliveri was having with his wife, which got the FBI involved more than a few times.
While most bandmates try to forgive and forget, Joshua Homme didn't waste a second sending Oliveri packing from Queens. In his own words, Homme was shellshocked by his behavior and honestly felt that he was talking to a completely different person than the bassist that he had known for all those years.
Then again, the devil is always in the details no matter what kind of person you are.
