Where do we start with Clutch’s back catalogue? Well they’re a band with songs and albums so good that their setlists are completely different every single show they play, and it’s fine because anything they play is great. However a real sweet spot in their career was the period of 2001s Pure Rock Fury, 2004s Blast Tryant and 2005s Robot Hive/Exodus.

Clutch have gained a rabid and passionate fan base by continuously writing song cold classics. They’ve become known for perfecting their formula of bluesy, hard rock anthems and had they formed twenty years earlier would probably be playing the same arenas as the likes of Aersosmith. The songwriting on this three album run is brilliant, the tracks are charged with energy, classic rock spirit, and mellowed when they need to be.
