10 Hard Rock & Heavy Metal Bands That WILL Headline Download Festival

6. Bullet For My Valentine

Look, I don't know what Bullet even are anymore. At one time the shining light in British heavy music after The Poison, then cribbing one too many song structures from Metallica on Scream, Aim, Fire - only to amble weirdly into mainstream eyes with Fever and fall flat on their faces with Temper, Temper.

2015's Venom was a fairly solid return to form, but the constant negative the band just can't seem to surmount or improve on, is Matt Tuck's vocals. Newest single "Over It" is the same faux-high school angsty toss they should've moved on from by now, yet remain somewhat bound to, simply because of their name.

Still, persist and you may succeed. Bullet regularly dominate any stage put in front of them if given the chance, and they're an incredibly solid band. Regardless of what anyone says, everyone has a Bullet song they'd scream the words along to, and let's not forget that Padge and Tuck are a spectacularly tight twin guitar combo.

Also note that no matter their career trajectory, Bullet have always maintained a diehard fanbase. There's an almost underdog quality to them in the headline slot at this stage, and I think if given the chance, they'd slay it.
