2. Baseball - Geddy Lee
Out of all the weird hobbies that you could have as a musician, sports is not that far off in the grand scheme of things. Since the big names in both sports and music play in the same sized stadiums most of the time, it's just a matter of time before you start to find some common threads. Geddy Lee isn't just the casual fan of baseball though. This is the guy who has really done his homework.
As far back as the middle point of Rush's career, Geddy has always made it a point to catch any game he could during breaks in the tour, even going so far as to collect different vintage gear. In some of the home interviews that have been done, Geddy isn't shy about flaunting his finds, using anything from old baseball cards to signed balls to even keeping up with the latest people who are new on the scene.
Even friend Mike Piazza was thrown for a loop when he met Geddy for the first time, just casually looking at him sitting in the stands during one of their practice rounds. Compared to some of the more eccentric hobbies that people find themselves in, Geddy just seems to be a normal guy that has settled into mellow dad territory.
