2. Rockstar
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmeUuoxyt_E Shockingly, there was a period of time from around 2003-2006 where Nickelback weren't quite the powerhouse they'd been before. Listed alongside bands such as Linkin Park and Marilyn Manson as those that used to be cool, our Canadian heroes hit back, and hit back hard. 'Rockstar' is, simply put, a song almost everybody in the Western hemisphere knows. When you can write a song that has even people's parents requesting it on party playlists, you know you're about to be swimming in money. The chorus is the stuff of musical dreams - who doesn't want to be living out the fantasies outlined in the lyrics, for example? Playboy Bunnies, joining the mile high club, partying with the rich and famous, and rocking out in front of thousands of screaming fans, it's the stuff legends are made of. Many songs have been penned about what it's like to be in the music business, but few have captured the imagination quite like this one, yet people will still claim they don't listen to it.
