10 Huge Songs That Bands Refused To Play Live

3. Big Me - Foo Fighters

Some of the reasons given on this list so far have been pretty heartfelt.

This isn't that. This is just hilarious.

In 1995 came the self-titled debut release from the "band" Foo Fighters.

The reason "band" is in quotation marks is because Dave Grohl actually wrote and recorded the entire thing himself as a method of coping with Kurt Cobain's death. The rest of the troupe came later.

The album spawned four singles, including Big Me, which went on to become a fan favourite. Part of its longevity came down to the memorable video that was produced for the track, which parodied famous adverts for Mentos.

Unfortunately for Grohl and co., the song and sugary item became so intertwined that fans would bring bags of them to shows and pelt them during performances.

These sweet-based antics led to Big Me getting removed from Foo Fighters' setlists for a number of years. You actually have Weezer to thank for getting it reinstated, as they played a cover of the track whilst on tour with the Foos, which reminded them how much they missed it.

Clearly Rivers Cuomo is a lot less afraid of being blinded by a flying mint.
