10 Iconic Albums You Won't Believe Are Turning 20 Years Old

5. New Found Glory - Sticks And Stones

Pop punk veterans NFG were already on the road to stardom with their third album, released two decades ago!

While the band's first two albums may have been responsible for the creation of Fall Out Boy, with Pete Wentz handed over both albums to Jared Logan as inspiration for the band's debut release, their third outing is not to be sniffed at - and that's an Understatement!

Featuring hit single My Friends Over You, arguably the band's biggest hit to date, as its first single, Sticks and Stones is one of pop punk's all-time iconic albums. The second single released on the album was Head on Collision - which influenced pop punk heroes All Time Low's name. The Story So Far also used the band's lyrics for their band name - taking inspiration from... You guessed it, New Found Glory's The Story So Far.

The album even featured Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba - now both of blink-182 - as well as Skiba's Alkaline Trio bandmate Dan Adriano, and Rusty Pistachio Toby Morse of H2O.

Sticks and Stones charted at number 4 on the Billboard 200, selling 91,000 copies and has since been certified as Platinum for selling over one million copies in the United States.

Sticks and Stones turns 20 on 11 June, having been recorded in February 2002.
