10 Iconic Albums You Won't Believe Are Turning 20 Years Old

4. Busted - Busted

Feels like only yesterday, right? Well, Busted's self-titled album turns 20 this year!

Pop rockers Busted took the UK charts by storm single after single with What I Go To School For, Year 3000 and You Said No in 2002 and 2003, with their self-titled album providing a more saccharine version of pop punk, if such a thing is even possible, and storming the radio stations.

Busted's first three singles reached numbers three, two and one on the UK charts successively, before Sleeping With The Light On hit number three as well. The success wasn't confined to just the singles, though, as Busted have sold over 1.2 million copies of their self-titled album in the UK, and spent 77 week on the Top 75 Albums chart.

One other track was listed on the official cassette as a single, Losing You, but was never released with Matt Willis later saying the band wouldn't ever play the track live as they simply didn't like it. What I Go To School For and Year 3000 went on to be covered by the Jonas Brothers in 2006.

Busted's self-titled album turns 20 years old on 30 September, while their second album, A Present For Everyone, turns 20 next year!
