10 Iconic Albums You Won't Believe Are Turning 20 Years Old
6. Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends
... or don't, then they'll realise they're all incredibly old. Just like you.
We jest, but one thing you likely did if you heard this album in 2002 was Tell All Your Friends! A good thing, of course, because social media was in its infancy back then.
Released through Victory Records, Taking Back Sunday had undergone many personnel changes before issuing their first album. Great Romances of the 20th Century was released as the lead single, before a music video was released for the album's standout track Cute Without The E. Bizarrely, though, the song was never released as a single with You're So Last Summer released as the second single.
The album notoriously hit many speedbumps before being released, with the band arriving to the studio with no drum set, presuming the studio would have one. Meanwhile, vocalist Adam Lazzara became unwell and lost his voice during recording which halted recording for a couple of weeks.
Taking Back Sunday's debut offering is already 20 years old, reaching the milestone on 26 March, having been recorded between December 2001 and January 2002 - an impressively short amount of time, all things considered!
