10 Iconic Music Festivals You Must Attend In 2020

8. Riot Fest

Taking the mantle as a spiritual successor to the legendary Vans Warped Tour, Riot Fest is probably the biggest event of the year for punk-rock fans worldwide. That being said, the line-up does not solely consist of punk acts (much like with Warped Tour) and caters to a wide range of alternative music tastes.

Riot Fest originally started as a one-off event in 2005, but evolved into a 3 day outdoor festival located in Chicago's Douglas Park in 2012. This tradition has continued every year since. The festival has gained a reputation for playing host to both reunions and full album performances.

Over the years, Riot Fest’s roster has included The Offspring, Bad Religion, Rancid, Wu Tang Clan, Nas, Morrissey, System of a Down, Misfits and plenty more. With such diversity in its acts, it’s understandable why this festival is starting to gain a reputation as a Mecca for fans of alternative music.

This relatively young festival consistently pulls out some of the strongest line-ups and shows no sign of slowing down. Given that Warped Tour seems to be all but finished now, this is the best way to relive that glorious Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater era of the 90’s and early 2000’s.
