4. Frankenbok - Don't Call Me Baby
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5cZDlw6VxI Original Artist - Madison Avenue (2000)Released - 2001 (The Loopholes & Great Excuses EP) Frankenbok have accumulated a cult following in the underground metal scene of Australia, not to mention throughout the entire Pacific Rim. Heavily influenced by the Florida death metal scene, they had developed quite the reputation thanks to their rambunctious live act and music, described by the band themselves as a whole lot of meat with a little bit of cheese. And nowhere does that description ring more true than with their cover of one hit wonder Madison Avenues annoyingly catchy single, Dont Call Me Baby. Released on The Loopholes & Great Excuses EP in 2001, it became a minor hit for Frankenbok and culminated with support slots for metal stalwarts Slayer and Machine Head. Thanks to this unlikely success of this ditty on alternative radio and with the clip becoming a mainstay on local late night music programming on public broadcast TV, Frankenbok continue to this day. With six albums now under their belt they have not only amassed a loyal fanbase but have carved their own legacy within the Australian music industry.

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life????
All demos, no albums ;)
