10 Indie Music Artists That Deserve More Love

5. Beach Bunny

A fantastic band that put out constant summer songs with upbeat pop rhythms, Beach Bunny have a knack for capturing the party aspect of indie, but Lili's unique voice is the huge selling point. This is a band that wouldn't look out of place on the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack. It really gives the feel that the nostalgic summers of our childhoods.

A sunny sound juxtaposed with insecurities and jabs at the paradigm of beauty in "Prom Queen", to tracks with fantastic lyrical flexes such as "reconstructive surgery can't fix my anxiety" featured in "Painkiller", the band deliver the lyrics you want to scrawl all over a notebook.

"Dream Boy" is a truly pop-inspired tune, with the catchiest chorus ever put on an ode to teenage romance, with Romeo and Juliet vibes (the positive bits, not the death part) bursting at the seams. This band easily slots alongside Pale Waves, but seemingly taking more of a 1990's influence, whereas Pale Waves were at the forefront of the 80s influence. \]
