10 Key Elements To The Paul McCartney Is Dead Theory

The Abbey Road album is responsible for a lot of things. For one, it is the best album The Beatles ever released. Secondly, it is probably one of the best albums in the entire world. Interestingly and annoyingly, it is also responsible for many "Paul is dead" conspiracists.

The album cover is filled to the brim with clues and hidden hints regarding poor Paul McCartney's untimely death. The biggest one being the order of the band as they walk across the notorious zebra crossing. First, you've got John Lennon acting as the pallbearer dressed in white, then you've got Ringo Starr donned in black so obviously he's the undertaker. Then comes George Harrison lagging at the back, dressed in work clothes behaving like the gravedigger.

Finally, you've got a shoeless Paul McCartney walking out of synch with the rest of the band along with a splattering of blood behind him. Plus, he's also smoking a cigarette with his right hand (Paul was a lefty).

But that's not all. Behind them is a car with a license plate that reads 28IF. Does this mean that if Macca had survived he would have been 28? Hence, IF28? Probably not because McCartney would have actually been 27 but let's just forget about that tiny detail.
