10 Lost Albums From Famous Rock Musicians

9. BlakRoc 2 - The Black Keys

In 2009, champions of the blues The Black Keys got together with several big names from the hip-hop realm to put out an album of rap-infused rock tracks.

This was BlakRoc, and it featured contributions from Mos Def, Ludacris, Jim Jones, and several members of Wu-Tang Clan. It was pretty good; good enough to get a sequel perhaps? Well, in theory.

Two years after BlakRoc's release, a trailer appeared heralding the arrival of a second instalment. It was eventually posted to a YouTube channel representing Damon Dash, the record executive who had been instrumental in putting the first record together.

Things started to get weird when Patrick Carney, drummer for the Black Keys, gave an interview where he stated that BlakRoc 2 was not coming out soon as, whilst a number of songs for the project had been recorded, they were nowhere near finished.

The trailer's authenticity was brought into question, despite the fact that it still remains on Dash's YouTube channel. It's been over a decade since it debuted, and yet, no BlakRoc 2.

The Black Keys have released six new records since then, so it's safe to assume that they've forgotten about it.
