10 Mind-Blowing Secrets Hidden In Famous Songs
3. Lady Gaga - Paparazzi
Few modern pop stars have inspired the same fervent hurricane of bizarre conspiratorial whisperings that have continually plagued Lady Gaga. The Fame singer has been accused of all sorts of nefarious deeds down the years with absolutely zero concrete evidence, including, perhaps most shockingly, poisoning Lou Reed to death with Polonium after he dared to criticise her Velvet Underground homage, Artpop. (Disclaimer - Lady Gaga is not a murderer. I think.)
But if she were up to no good, surely she’d need a little bit of help from somebody. Maybe somebody with red skin, pointy horns, and cloven hooves, perhaps? Well, lo and behold, Gaga’s been communicating secret messages from Beezlebub through her songs right under our bloody noses this whole time.
In Paparazzi, a song released four years before her supposed poisoning of Reed, featuring a video in which she actually poisons somebody just for the crack, there’s a bit where, when played backwards, it sounds as if Gaga is saying “Evil save us / These stars above, above… / We model it on the arts of Lucifer”. Ordinarily, you might just laugh this one off, but my word, it is strikingly clear - to an almost unsettling extent.
