10 Mind-Blowing Secrets Hidden In Famous Songs

2. The Doors - Break On Through

The Doors, and Jim Morrison by extension, were one of the most controversial and scintillating groups to burst out of the explosion of Bohemian culture sweeping across America in the ‘60s. In some way, the band were so infamous that their reputation still precedes them, and Morrison’s image is held up alongside others who have died tragically young, such as Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, as illustrations of the bittersweet reality of rock ’n’ roll excess.

Bearing that in mind, it’s perhaps little surprise that one of the band’s best known tracks, Break On Through, contains a snippet that some claim is a hidden message from the occult. The opening song on their debut album, there’s a brief moment, just as Morrison drawls the words “treasures there” that, when reversed, sounds an awful lot like the singer is in fact saying “I am Satan”.

Coincidence? Probably. Fuel for obsessive fans to mull over for the best part of 60 years? Absolutely.
