10 Mistakes That Made It Onto Famous Rock Songs

8. Stick It To The Man - Pearl Jam's Rearviewmirror

Pearl Jam were clearly in need of a new typewriter when writing up the tracklist for their album Vs., as the space bar on their one obviously wasn't working.

That's an awful joke to introduce an excellent song, a deep cut from Vs. called Rearviewmirror.

Eddie Vedder said that the music to this song made him feel like he was in a car, so he composed a set of lyrics about looking back at something whilst driving away from it, only being able to see it in the rear view mirror. Though never a single, Rearviewmirror was popular enough to inspire the name of a Pearl Jam greatest hits album in 2004, even though a teensy mishap found its way onto the final product.

Towards the end of the epic playout solo, what sounds like drumsticks being fiddled with can be heard. This is actually said sticks being hurled against a wall by drummer Dave Abbruzzese, who was annoyed at producer Brendan O'Brien for being too harsh on his performance during the recording process.

O'Brien clearly didn't mind this take, as this was the one that saw the light of day.
