10 Modern Rock Bands You Need To Listen To

For the last few years, most bands couldn't get arrested if they didn't have some indie flair gracing the charts. Even if you were trying to play up your quirky gimmicks, there was no chance of actually appealing to the Imagine Dragons crowd unless you had some power backing you up. Then again, Yes Factory may be the one band with potential to break the mold for the next wave of rock.

Formed out of Illinois back in 2016, both Brennan Reiter and Ian Zander have been crafting some of the greatest pop rock of the modern age. Though you can tell that there is some definite influences from new wave on something like Bad Luck Charm and even power pop on Radio Waves, every song holds together as something uniquely catchy whenever it comes on.

Even though some people draw attention to the fact that Ian is the son of Cheap Trick legend Robin Zander, some of these tracks may just be able to put his old man's outfit to shame, with the their first EP going over as an amazing slice of power pop. Despite only having a few songs on Spotify right now and even more coming down the pipeline later, don't be surprised if you see these guys making a major mark on the summer circuit once the pandemic starts to dissipate.
