10 MORE Albums From Famous Artists NOT On Streaming Services
1. One In A Million/ Aaliyah – Aaliyah
Aside from her 1994 debut album Age is Nothing But A Number, you cannot stream either of Aaliyah’s two other albums. Her sophomore One in A Million and her self-titled album are both unavailable across all streaming services.
This is not an issue of quality or an artist trying to regain rights to their music. Aaliyah tragically died in a plane crash aged 22, shortly after releasing her third album.
Her uncle Barry Hankerson owns the master tapes to both albums, but is not releasing them to stream. It is a shame that the only Aaliyah album available is the one closely connected to her disgraced ex-husband R Kelly.
In 2017, a hacker uploaded her 2001 album Aaliyah to iTunes for the first time. Within 24 hours, the album had mysteriously gone.
Arguably the most requested release on the list, fans hope to remember the late New Yorker by sharing her music for the streaming generation someday soon.
Having some of her biggest hits absent in the streaming age, Aaliyah's legacy is effectively diminished.
