5. Ruthensmear/ So You Fell In Love With A Musician... - Pat Smear
Germs founder Pat Smear is best known for his touring guitarist days for Nirvana. Eventually, the Californian would join Dave Grohl’s band Foo Fighters, and has appeared on four of their studio albums.
What isn’t as well known is that Smear had a solo career between 1988 and 1992. Smear's solo work is sunny and silly. It doesn't take itself too seriously.
Both Ruthensmear and So You Fell in Love with a Musician... were released on SST Records, a label now way past their heyday. Perhaps sorting out a deal with Smear to re-release these could be a nice treat to grunge fans. Or would releasing these become a smear on the Foo Fighters' discography?
Following his solo career, he would join as Nirvana’s touring guitarist in 1993. You can see him performing with Foo Fighters to this day.
