10 More Great Rock Music Singles That Never Appeared On An Album

9. Popular Monster - Falling In Reverse

At the very opposite end of the rock spectrum to The Fab Four is where you'll find Falling in Reverse, the band formed by ex-Escape the Fate singer Ronnie Radke whilst he was serving time in prison.

The band put out a whopping six unattached singles between 2018 and 2021, including The Drug in Me Is Reimagined, I'm Not a Vampire (Revamped), and Drugs, which featured Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, but the best of the bunch has to be 2019's Popular Monster.

Inspired by the movie Joker, lead singer Ronnie Radke wrote the song about exploring his inner demons and letting out some of the bad voices he had in his head. At time of writing, Radke hasn't shot any talk show hosts, so this method clearly worked.

Popular Monster reached number four on the US Rock charts and is one of the band's most streamed songs on Spotify, proving that the concept of a standalone single still has legs.

The band haven't released an album since 2017, partly because of the death of guitarist Derek Jones in 2020. Hopefully a new record is on the way soon, although these unattached songs have been so good, maybe one isn't needed.
