10 More Perfect 1980s Hard Rock Albums With No Bad Songs

7. Ace Of Spades - Motörhead (1980)

This album could be considered perfect merely for its title track. Is there anything more pumped full of high octane power than Ace Of Spades? Crank this song to max, smash your cuban heel into the accelerator, and ride the highway straight to hell - just wear a seatbelt.

There's no voice quite like Lemmy's. You can hear every sip of whiskey that ever past his lips, and every cigarette that enveloped his larynx. His vocal cords should have been preserved as an unholy relic of rock. This guy was a true veteran of the genre - he did it all - from working as a roadie for Jimi Hendrix to playing in Hawkwind, and fronting one of the best metal bands of all time.

This album is all about the bass. No one played with such unbridled ferocity. Lemmy thrashed the strings as if it was a lead guitar. He abused his instrument with the same enthusiasm he abused is voice box, but it was all in the name of rock. Although, Motörhead had been churning out ear bursting jams since 1975, it was their forth album that immortalised the group as reining kings of high speed rock. You could fuel your car from the oily fumes imitated from this record.
